An artist that gives away free art requests is unpredictable. They may be just giving it away because they are nice. Other times you don't know the true reason. Honestly, if it will help them, I would request something just to help them. I don't care if it I get some request for free, I would rather help them instead.
You may call me shallow but if it proves helpful then I'm fine with free art requests.
Mainly because that's why I have multiple microrojects waiting for when I'm not working on my KriegsMaiden novels. The change of pace tends to prove handy in withering down art/writer's block.
Had I realized that it was all an april fool's joke...yeah, probably wouldn't have bothered posting anything.....
I don't think anyone is a fan of April Fools, especially when it makes you think as much as the one I did. I have the impression the end results of this poll will match what I saw in the comments.
The last poll was a personal one, asking if anything was sick of the commissions yet. Apparently almost everyone liked the variety they brought, so thank you for supporting an artist's versatility. For this poll this comes off of an unwitting experiment brought on by an April Fools' prank. The prank was that I had art block and was offering free requests. Evidently the experiment came about when it was evident that a lot of people showed a certain side of humanity that most would find a little sad. To confirm the observations made, the question is, "An artist in duress (unhappy, stressed, has art block) is giving away free art for anybody. What is your reaction?"

Not a big fan of April Fools, y'know.
