Yes, I'm still alive. Got a new scanner, still need to replace this disappointing CRT monitor with something that knows what color is (ie. not green). Under photo manipulation since I butchered my 3D model for this. Currently getting my inking on and all three pictures allotted for said inking process ironically all have my Mewthree, Mewblade in it. Can't help it if I like drawing her, and basically nearly cried over the fact that I haven't been able to spend much time working with her. When you get more fan art of your own character than you draw yourself, then you know there is a problem. Then again, my mood was briefly demolished with this whole Mewtwo thingie. Have a Mewthree for 13 years, and already someone has done the whole, "That's not Mewthree!" thing. No problem if there is an official one since it basically validates my existence, problems lie elsewhere. Partially mortified that I can guarantee that least a cluster of animators/character designers/developers of various Nintendo/Pokemon branches did a Mewthree search(es) for giggles. I know you did. I work in the same industry as you!
And that is enough ranting, or possibly not. Anyway, picture. Super long one in length since I felt like doing something simple and then kept changing it to make it more graphical with Mewblade in the most blandest stance I could possibly summon ever. Sometimes I like her dead center and obvious and why not, it frankly works for my organic death machine that is Mewblade. She's imposing, she looks evil (generally isn't), so bland, dominant stance in the nether it is. Actual art process, as per most of my 3D models is basically editing backgrounds and color correcting and such. This case resulted in far more touch-ups since her 3D model is not meant to look like a blatant Mewtwo base. In the end, more Mewblade work equals more personal happy and I adore her entirely, hence the very Mewblade-centric image. Little bit of happy calm before the storm. (Or the flood if Mewthree is the official announcement and I won't get a lick of free time until December.)
