Description
Pokemon request from Sandrake [link] . The scene involved having her injured character, Sandra (the human) being rescued and cradled by the "galant" Pokemon Mewtwo and my Mewthree, Mewblade. She specified to have Mewtwo kneeling and clasping her, with Mewblade standing guard, blocking them from some sort of dark energy attack.
I was somewhat puzzled with this request; mostly, because I do not understand the small female fan base with their "knight in shining armor" coming in and rescuing them when they're hurt. (Being that Mewblade is my main girl, and she is what she is, I always prefered females taking to strong roles than being dependent on men.) Then further confusion, since if this were canon on my end, in a scenario like such is that Mewblade ironically would take to the collapsed girl first (despite her not being the cuddley type), and Mewtwo would be on the defense. Which would then follow with Mewblade fighting and killing whomever. Mewblade's healing skills are just superior to Mewtwo's, so if the two are suppose to be Legendary Pokemon, they probably would favor whomever with the better skillset than romantic interest in a fighting scenario. And Mewblade also sucks at blocking. "Why block when I can just heal it? Wastes less energy." I kind of wish Sandrake had also specified an enemy... I had no background options other than black spaces, in this case I turned it into an alley. Sometimes I really appreciate it if I'm given more direction, since I believe the picture would have turned out better than what it did. Proud of Mewblade, as usual, rare back shot of her and she still looks powerful. One benefit of the image.

Many years have passed since you posted this artwork. I don't know if you still feel the same way as you write in the description. I will say that I personally struggle with my own desires and what I want the character I like to do. That is, sometimes what is OOC for them. In Mewtwo's case, I too desire to be rescued and held by him. But every time I try to have a fantasy involving that, it's inevitably broken by the fact that he'd instinctively hold a person through telekinesis. He'd likely never hold a person like this unless he was otherwise requested to or in a more intimate scenario.
