Roughly ten years later and we find Mewtwo and Mewblade amongst a sea of flames and bodies, Mewblade about to show a test of skill and will as she performs a resurrection stunt that Mewtwo advises against. Given the state of human affairs, and how worse they could be, the risk is worth it.
(The comic basically does not correlate at all with the actual novel, since "Where I Stand" wasn't even written at the point these comics were done. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to depict at all, though I did know relatively what the intro scene entailed and a few other ones. I'm sure it sounds much more epic in novel form than it actually looks in comic form.)
