After a few months of waiting to see if getting a static network would make Maya 7 run again, I gave up and upgraded the thing to Maya 10. I had made the panels for this scene some time ago and hadn't had a chance to really play with them. Wanted to use them for a scene in particular, but evidentally both Mewblade and Chaos Mewblade's expression packs were destroyed, so I have to go through delays to make those work. Happy to have Maya, and very unhappy that it basically ate two of my better models' heads. In the meantime I decided to render out the 1.3 million tri background for practice. I hate doing environment models but from time to time, they yield interesting results and uses.

Maya 7, Maya 10, Photoshop CS4

Gotta love then stuff like this happens. Sure was a shock. At least you had the over model left.
You could put that into every science fiction series. Lets say stargate, cause its one of the less i know.

It does look like an average Old Lantean-built Aurora-class battleship hallway...

And to @vaporeon249, I know how it feels when your computer craps out on you. On my old computer, I was making a SW Battlefront mod to run Deadliest Warrior-esque VS simulations.
AND THEN THE COMPUTER FINALLY DIED ON ME, NO BACKUPS...

At least my general rage is usually directed towards machines. Problem can be rectified, will just take effort.
Unfortunately the scene's lights do not render out well on the more professional settings. Don't do scenes much, and still will need a lot of practice.

This is how my old cellphone broke. Smashed it against a wall... and it felt so good.

Working with characters is just more fun than with backgrounds. in artclass i was forced to draw depressing technical drawings none stop, explains my bad marks in that subject, also explains why i refuse to draw streets and buildings or just anything with a vanishing point. I can comprehend why you don't do them much.

You're the type of person who would benefit from bubble wrap therapy. Such a great stress reliever.
I can completely sympathize with the background and technical drawings. Vexed me throughout highschool.

I was a teen and that phone was really old and did not work probably. it was such a relief. I ll try that therapy next time, heh.
It sadly also depends so much on the teachers. Later i changed the class and the new teacher had much more interesting subjects.
